Dr. Xuedong Zhou is a professor at West China College of Stomatology, Sichuan University, and the Director of State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases. She also serves as member of Disciplinary Appraisal Panels the State Council; Colleges and Universities Teaching stomatology Steering Committee, as well as the Vice-Chair of Chinese Stomatological Association and Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Associate Chair of Cariology and Endodontics Committee of Chinese Stomatological Society, Chair of Sichuan Stomatological Association; Fellow of International College of Dentists; Dean of The Autonomous ICD Section XIII-China; Chief Editor of Bone Research, International Journal of Oral Science, West China Journal of Stomatology, Yearbook of Chinese Stomatology and Chinese Journal of Stomatological Information. Dr. Zhou focuses her research on basic and clinical study of caries etiology and prevention. As the project leader, she undertakes project design and overall responsibility for projectimplementation. She has published more than 100 articles, and has edited Oral Microbiology and Technology, Practical Therapeutics of dental disease, Atlas of Oral Microbiology and other 8 monographs.
