Young Queen Blanca embarks on a long journey after receiving a mysterious message carried by a homing pigeon. Together with the knight apprentices Milian and Cedricus, she rides from the Mountain Country to the distant Plains only to discover that the message was a trap. Behind the deceit stand Prince Astor and the court marshal Gorm. Astor, descended from the ancient Stone Giants, hungers for both power and the giants' long-lost gold. As Blanca and her friends uncover ancient clues - a carved inscription, a faded map, and a secret kept by the Signseer in the Tall Lighthouse - their search draws them deep into a web of mystery and adventure. In a parallel story, a woman who has lost her memory wanders along a lonely shore. Through dreams, her past slowly returns - until she finally discovers who she is and how her fate is intertwined with the others'.

Anna Karin Järpemark: Anna Karin Järpemark is a Swedish author and the creator of Blanca's Adventures, originally written in Swedish. Blanca and the Secret of the Mountain is the second book in the series, following Blanca and the Well of White Mists. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Swedish for Teachers of Immigrants. Alongside her love of language and storytelling, she also enjoys other forms of creative expression, including watercolor and oil painting.
