Filosofo contemporaneo e ministro del Nuovo Pensiero, Emmet Fox nacque in Irlanda il 30 luglio 1886 e morì in Francia il 13 agosto 1951. Dopo aver studiato presso il St. Ignatius' College di Stamford Hill, il collegio dei Gesuiti nei pressi di Londra, divenne ingegnere elettronico. Tuttavia, scoprì presto di avere il potere di guarire e sin dalla giovinezza venne in contatto con il Nuovo Pensiero, che approfondì in particolare attraverso gli scritti di Thomas Troward. Con le sue conferenze e i suoi insegnamenti, che tenne soprattutto negli Stati Uniti dove raccolse un seguito innumerevole, Fox insegnò che il fondamento di ogni vera espressione produttiva è il pensiero positivo.
