The third volume of this collection completes the exploration of patterns for women and men. It focuses on the shaping of mens and womens outwear. The wide range of patterns examined includes basic forms of jackets, coats and cloaks as well as the latest trends and new cuts proposed by designers that go beyond the timeless and fundamental models. The book also offers detailed descriptions of drafting techniques, which are essential for the industrial patternmaker and, last but not least, techniques for altering and fitting jackets, coats and cloaks. Antonio Donnanno began his career in his familys tailoring shop. In 1982, he founded the prestigious Euromode School Italia in Bergamo, which soon expanded abroad. He has written dozens of books on fashion and has his own consulting firm, which focuses on patternmaking and business. The illustrator, Elisabetta Kuky Drudi, is also author of Promopress bestseller Fashion Details. She currently designs for various international fashion houses.
