If ever there was a book worth reading for teens and parents (and everyone else), it's this one - The Denver Post.
 
 Melodie, 11, has a mirror memory. Her head is like a movie camera, recording all the time but with no delete button. She was the smartest kid in her school, but no one knew it. Most people, including teachers and doctors, believed she couldn't learn. Until recently, school days passed with her listening to kindergarten-level alphabet lessons over and over again. She wished she could scream... if she could tell those around her how she thought and what she knew. But she couldn't, because she couldn't talk, walk, or write.
