This work presents the results of a qualitative-interpretative research carried out in the south of the state of Veracruz. The research question is: Which are the mental processes that favour in practice the teachers of sixth grade of primary school so that the students learn the grammatical and orthographic concepts of the component of reflection on the language and the linguistic competences of the subject of Spanish in a given socio-cultural context? The design lasted two years, with a descriptive and interpretative character. The subjects were 6th grade students whose ages were between 11 and 14 years old. The purpose was to immerse themselves in the complexity of real learning and teaching events in order to investigate the formation of concepts. The categories of analysis found were: direct and indirect speech, punctuation, verb tenses, misspellings, concordance, irregularities in graphic sound correspondence of letters, upper and lower case, conjunction, accentuation, adjectives and adverbs.
