Logistics management in a supply chain is a subject that has been in existence some years ago even before Christ and was used by Greek generals in order to describe all the procedures for the armys procurement on food, clothing ammunition etcetera (Leon the Wise, Alexander the Great ) cited in Vinci L.D (2015:1). It is quite pertinent to understand its usefulness in todays business and operations orchestration as organizations have been increasingly adding logistics as a vital component to its supply chain network for surplus profitability and market domineering. The researchers experience as a student of operations and supply chain management (MSc.) and other professional experience in logistics management has revealed the importance of an effective logistics management and the need for it to be enhanced. As a result, this study set out to reveal which factors influence logistics management in Nigerian supply chain and suggestions on how it can be improved through the logistics leaders or managers are also provided. A review of the literature pertaining to supply chain -logistics management in Nigeria reveals that there are challenges facing Oil & Gas industries in Nigeria
