Based on the largest research data on dry eye syndrome, the Women Health Study (WHS) and the Physicians Health Study (PHS), an estimation 3.23 million women and 1.68 million men out of a total of 4.91 million 50-year-old Americans were suffering from dry eye syndrome. Research on the effectivity of punctum occlusion therapy using plugs in Indonesia has not developed. This book describes the analysis of collagen punctal plug effectivity on subjective complaints of dry eye syndrome and tear film examination. Collagen punctal plug can be one of the treatment options for dry eye syndrome who have not experienced improvement after medical therapy.
