The word development is a household word today! The concept has been examined from a Theatre for Development perspective in this booklet. Development is put in a perspective meant to challenge readers to think out of the box and to relate to situations on the ground to widen and broaden the definitions of development beyond what the status quo is today. Ghana has all it takes to develop individuals consistently the broader populace, rural communities and our dear country Ghana (and all African Nations by extension) Theatre for development is a paradigm shift worth adopting in our contemporary world today.

Elias Kwaku Asiama was educated at the Bueman Secondary School, Jasikan Buem in the Oti Region. He is an alumni and a senior lecturer of the University of Ghana. He holds a Ph.D. from the Southampton University (King Alfred's College). He has also authored several books and published numerous articles.
