What are smart cities? What potential and limitations does its development have in countries such as Mexico? These are the questions posed by the author, who is interested in exploring various topics and areas of knowledge: from regional innovation systems, smart urban growth, digital cities, intelligent and sustainable urban mobility, urban governance and smart cities as utopia or reality. The book is oriented to different types of readers: from those interested in acquiring basic knowledge about issues related to smart and sustainable cities, to those who are more motivated to know the technical aspects related to its implementation. The chapters of the book explore theoretical - methodological aspects, as well as the progress and problems presented by its application in different Mexican cities.
