According to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, it encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement, conversion and logistics. Supply chain management also covers coordination and collaboration with channel partners, such as customers, suppliers, distributors and service providers.

Dr. Chandan Deep Singh is working as assistant professor in department of mechanical engineering, Punjabi University, Patiala. He has completed his Ph.D. in 2016. He has guided around 50 students for M.Tech. thesis and has around 90 publications to his name.
