Recent developments in the area of satellite communication are making possible low cost data transmission and television broadcasting to sparsely populated areas spread over a large geo-graphical region.However, audio and video transmissions through satellite transponders face degradation due to linear and non-linear behavior of satellite subsystems.DVB-S2 standard is used for video transmission through satellite.DVB-S2 gives better performance enhancement over other standards.
