DLC Kumari Fonseka earned a M.Sc in Plant Cell and Tissue Culture from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She obtained her PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from Durham University UK in 2011; currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.
