No country in the world stands out in the race for development The motivating force is the desire to reach a healthier, happier and easier way of life from which springs investigation, higher technology, and innovations. The urgency evident in the developing countries, particularly in Africa is created out of their late start and the distance they have to travel to attain a reasonable standard of living for their people. This research was embarked upon with a view to making available facts on the state of rural development in Nigeria particularly in the North East Arid Zone Ecosystem.
