This book consist of two chapters which are related to two programs in National Center for Surveillance and Diseases Control in Ministry of Public Health and Population (MOPHP) in Yemen. The first is National Volunteer Stop Transmission of Poliomyelitis (NVSTOP) program and the second is National Schistosomiasis Control Program. In many resource-poor countries in which epidemics are most likely to break out, due to limited disease surveillance system, or the surveillance system are only facility-based. The war on Yemen resulted on damage of infrastructures such as roads and health facilities, this in turn decreased the accessibility and availability of health services, so NV-STOP system is established in Yemen in 2016 involving 175 district in 9 governorates depending on high-risk areas. NV-STOP is adaptable and low-cost process of community participation depending on volunteers. NV-STOP program available data were analyzed and and the result written in chapter (1). chapter (2) explained Schistosomiasis outbreaks Dammaj village. Schistosomiasis is a tropical aparasitic disease that leads to chronic ill-health. It spread in communities where no proper latrines or sanitation.

Dr.Jarallah Saleh Al tbali has obtained a bachelor's degree in General Medicine and Surgery 2007- Sana'a University. He worked in Ridah Hospital for ten years. He is currently a resident in Yemen Field Epidemiology Training Program (Y-FETP 4th cohort).
