The Energy Audit and Energy conservation helps in energy cost optimization, pollution control, safety aspects and suggests the method to improve maintenance practices of the system. It may be instrumental in coping with the situation of increasing energy costs, availability and reliability of the energy supply. During the preliminary study, the total energy consumption pattern of the plant at the same time the maximum demand of the plant has been studied. Peak hours during which maximum energy consumption is noted. The areas causing this high level of energy consumption was noted and analysis has been made on the areas where energy is wasted in the plant.
