The physical and physiological well-being is important for the well-being of the person receiving care.Disability is highly demanding, requiring consistent care.People with disabilities have constant health needs for very long periods in their life.They may have limitations in the activities of daily living and communication abilities. Apart from health, they have social, educational, empowerment and livelihood needs. Thus primary caregivers are under constant stress to maintain the health and well-being of the patient. Caregivers of chronic illness run the risk of emotional distress and adjustments to the demands of the patient.Caregivers often report difficulty in navigating the complex system of rehabilitation care to obtain needed medical, mental health, educational and social services. Adverse health status of the caregiver could interfere with the ability to meet the needs of the care receiver and may affect the rehabilitation. A Community Based Rehabilitation would take into consideration all these needs and rehabilitate them. CBR is a strategy for equalizing opportunities, poverty reduction and social inclusion of people with disabilIties
