Zusatztext
Cymbopogon citratus the lemongrass is a perennial grass plant widely distributed worldwide and most especially in tropical and subtropical countries. It is native to India and the nearby island of Sri Lanka. It is found growing naturally in tropical grasslands. It is also extensively cultivated throughout tropical Asia. Essential oil is one of the important components of lemon grass extracts. These are easily available, have a pleasant aroma, are non-toxic and safe; the active principles are therefore becoming increasingly popular in pharmaceuticals and medicines. Lemongrass extracts exhibit important therapeutic potentials such as anti-cancer, anti- hypertensive and anti-mutagenicity. Camellia sinensis (Green tea) is an evergreen shrub, which is native to Eastern Asia (China), later spread to India and Japan, then to Europe and Russia. Green, oolong and black tea are all made from the same plant species. The chemical components of tea leaves include polyphenols (catechins and flavonoides) alkaloids. Green tea extracts contain a unique set of catechins that possess biologic activity in antioxidant, antiangiogenesis, and antiproliferation.
