Autobiographies are read for their truthfulness and interesting revelation from the subjects. Autobiographies have exceeded over other genres of literature in popularity as it is realistic in nature and goes closer to life. Humanism is the philosophy that upholds human welfare above all considerations. Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr have become a unifying symbol for peace, non-violence and anti-racial society. Their autobiographies though distinct in their tone and style underline their common quest for humanism, the philosophy that is inclusive and respects pluralism with equality. These three apostles of peace, nonviolence, and equality have shown the world the right way of living.
