This book is about the electro-oxidation of small organic molecules under voltammetric and galvanostatic conditions, with special focus on the oxidation of formic acid and methanol on platinum. The dependence of various parameters, such as bulk solution pH, temperature. Besides these effects, the alloying effect of gold and the simultaneous oxidation of formic acid and methanol have been studied. All results have been interpreted in terms of the oxidation mechanism under conventional and oscillating conditions.
