Zusatztext

Water is affecting many aspects of human life, either in good or bad way. Water supports human life and become source of growth. Attention to water as the source of growth and development has been increased significantly. The twenty-first century is replete with uncertainty and complexity, game-changing trends are transforming the world. Indeed, uncertainty will be a key feature of the 21st century. Observed trends and projections for the future indicate a strong susceptibility to changes in the hydro-logical regimes, an increasing general shortage of water resources and consequent threats to water availability and management. Global trends affect regions, countries, industries, and even firms in heterogeneous ways. These trends entail both challenges and opportunities. Water availability is sensitive to climate change. Water conservation is one of the oldest activities practiced by old civilization to fulfill the required demand of water for irrigated agriculture and domestic needs in the arid and semi-arid regions. In ancient times the recharge movement initiated by the local communities was aided and supported by emperors. Agricultural output & food supply are sensitive to water
