Zusatztext
Grapevines have been found to be moderately sensitive to salinity. The inconsistent results regarding salt resistance limits under field conditions has been reported by several workers. In vitro screening of grape rootstocks has been shown as a reliable method for ascertaining salt tolerance, since in most cases the results agree with those obtained under in vivo. The present investigation was undertaken to study the effect of graded NaCl and mycorrhization on eleven grape rootstock genotypes, namely Salt Creek, Dog Ridge A, Dog Ridge B, Degrasette, 99R, 110R, SO4, 1613C, 1616C, H-144 and Male hybrid using different explant types under in vitro and in vivo conditions to devise a protocol for a rapid and non-expensive screening for salt tolerance.
