Zusatztext
In the 1950s, Hasso Gehrmann (*1924 Weißenfels/GER, 2008 Bregenz/AUT) was represented with his abstract Zeichentafeln (sign boards) at the Paris Salon des Réalités Nouvelles, the Kunsthalle Mannheim and the Società Dante Alighieri in Rome. In Gehrmanns opinion, however, art should extend beyond the panel painting into the entire living space. As a further successor to Peter Behrens, he worked as a product designer for AEG Frankfurt from 1957, and from 1960 he designed a flexible living concept for Elektra Bregenz, which included the free-standing First fully automatic kitchen Elektra Technovision (ETV). Its prototype, which was presented internationally around 1970/71, is now in the Deutsches Museum in Munich. Parallel to his creative work, the former student of Karl Jaspers developed a cosmological model called meta-art based on his discovery of The Subjective Geometry. In 2025, the vorarlberg museum will present a comprehensive overview of the multidisciplinary work of Hasso Gehrmann, which is discussed in detail in this publication.
