H. Butler Leacock (30 December 1869 28 March 1944) was a Canadian teacher, political scientist, writer, and humourist. Robert Barr (16 September 1849 21 October 1912) was a Scottish-Canadian short story writer and novelist. Frank Lucius Packard (February 2, 1877 February 17, 1942) was a Canadian novelist. Sir Horatio Gilbert George Parker (23 November 1862 6 September 1932), known as Gilbert Parker, Canadian novelist and politician.Sir Charles George Douglas Roberts (January 10, 1860 November 26, 1943) was a Canadian poet and prose writer.Lucy Maud Montgomery (November 30, 1874 April 24, 1942), published as L. M. Montgomery, was a Canadian author.Sir John George Bourinot, (October 24, 1836 October 13, 1902) was a Canadian journalist, historian, and civil servant.
