"Nana" is the novel of the French publicist, writer and public figure Emile Zola (1840-1902). The daughter of the laundress Anna Kupo, nicknamed Nana, is the scandal of a respectable Paris. Flowers and jewelry are thrown at her feet, and the counts and princes go crazy with her rough, animal beauty. For the pleasure, however, you have to pay: after living a flighty and ridiculous life, Nana ends her days in complete solitude, abandoned by friends and lovers.
