Zusatztext
This book is an exclusive study of Afropean authors' voices in a context where the discourse on nationhood and belonging is becoming virulent in European societies due to the phenomenon of increasing transnationalism. It can be seen as a contribution from the German-speaking world to the debate on Afropeanity and the relationship of Black people in Europe to their respective nations. It examines how Léonora Miano (La Saison de l'ombre), Diran Adebayo (Some Kind of Black) and SchwarzRund (Biskaya), three authors from the ethnic margins of their respective nations (France, England, Germany), capture, narrate and negotiate the process of transformation through an increasing transnationalisation of the lifeworld.
