For years, the collection of intimate instant images from the makers of PHOTODARIUM Private, a tear-off calendar that brings together the most fascinating images from international photographers from all over the world, has been growing. Now the archives are opening up and presenting a curated selection in the high-quality photo book INSTANT NUDES. The INSTANT NUDES photo book presents the work of eleven photographers who capture erotic moments with Polaroid. Some of the shots are revealing, some are more discreet. What they all have in common is their admiration for a beautiful body. Because of its authenticity, the Polaroid medium is the antithesis of digital photography. Polaroid enhances the erotic-voyeuristic moment through its intimacy, uniqueness and materiality, often not perfect but all the more authentic, provocative and yet differentiated. In their daytoday work, models are projection screens for society's ideas of beauty. They are staged by the photographers and a whole staff of stylists, hair and makeup artists. It is different when photographing nudes at home, in the intimacy of the private sphere.
