Emma Braslavsky: What is human is often revealed in paradoxical situations, especially in moments of dehumanization, such as when a human and a robot enter into a romantic relationship, as in my story. She has published several award-winning novels, essays, dramatic works, audio art, visual art, and exhibitions. Most recently, she wrote the libretto for the sci-fi chamber opera Neuro-Moon. Her scholarship in German literary studies focuses on emotion, narration, gender, care, and posthumanism. She is a former Fulbrighter who still has a metaphorical suitcase in Berlin.
