Pirani Ameena Begum Ora Ray Baker, author of these heart-moving poems, dedicated them to 'Daya', meaning 'Thou art my all'. They can be best appreciatd when experiencing them as 'Moonlight Meditations'. Coming form a well-known Californian family, Pirani Ameena Begum left all behind at a very early age, guided by her great Ideal to share her life with Hazrat Inayat Khan, the one that Destiny had brought upon her path. When he passed away much too soon, Pirani Ameena Begum faithfully cared for her 'Rubies Four', as she called the children, and the poems of the 'Rosary of a Hundred Beads' are offered as a contemplation upon the great work of Hazrat Inayat Khan. Her birthday poems offer deep encouragements to her children, inspiring them to keep in their hearts the historical memories of the early days with 'Abba and Amma', when happiness adorned the blessed home in France called 'Fazal Manzil.
