Elke Clörs was born in Darmstadt. For ten years, she worked in the editorial department of a medical newspaper, and then put her talents in the service of a furniture dealer, working as an interior decorator. In 2015, she moved her family to her favorite island Ibiza, where she gets to live out the creativity that has been part of her life since early childhood. Her family now runs a home workshop producing handmade sweaters from recycled wool. Since moving to the island, Elke also writes island and lifestyle cookbooks. In the meantime, she has fulfilled her dream of founding her own animal rescue organization, which helps rescue stray cats found throughout Ibiza.
