The Impact of Disaster: Social and Cultural Approaches to Fukushima and Chernobyl addresses the two biggest nuclear power plant catastrophes of our time. This publication is the result of the cooperative research initiative of two research centers in Hesse, the Interdisciplinary Centre for East Asian Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt (IZO) and the Giessen Center for Eastern European Studies (GiZo); specialists for the Slavic and the Asian region joined in the project to examine the accidents and their consequences under a multidisciplinary approach.
