Thousands of children stay behind in the Republic of Moldova while their parents migrate abroad to work. The situation of these children is heavily problematized in societal discourse. This book provides an insight into the perspectives of formerly affected young adults and, following the Grounded Theory methodology, analyses their experiences and reflections in relation to local gender norms, the public discourse, and the conditions of the migration regime.
