Everyone is talking about digitization, but what does the ubiquitous buzzword mean? The concern of critical women's and gender studies is to demystify the term digitization and to point out the social dimensions of digitization processes. For this, interdisciplinary exchange between the technical and social sciences is essential. The anthology therefore combines approaches from the social, educational and cultural sciences with analyses from the natural and technical sciences to stimulate a critical discussion of the term.
