In a systematic analysis of selected empirical-quantitative social science studies on the connection between Muslim religiousness and social integration in Germany after 9/11, consensual and controversial findings are worked out and causes of contradictory results discussed. The study is intended to contribute to a fact-based debate in a controversial socio-political field that is susceptible to scientifically uncovered generalizations and thus also to populist instrumentalization.
