Zusatztext
In 1939 Ilse Aichinger remained in Vienna, while her twin sister Helga travelled to London on a Kindertransport. Some members of their family did not survive the Shoah. In lives marked by departure and arrival, by suffering and creativity, the sisters produced significant literary and artistic works which, 100 years after their birth, are examined and honoured in this bilingual volume.
