Anne Wales Abbott, also written as Abbot, was an author, magazine editor, game designer, and critic who lived from April 10, 1808, to June 1, 1908. Abiel Abbott was a minister in Beverly, Massachusetts, and Eunice Abbott were her parents. Abbott was born on April 10, 1808. Abbott made the very famous card game Dr. Busby, which came out on March 7, 1843, from W. & S. B. Ives of Salem, Massachusetts. In the first eighteen months, it sold 15,000 copies.
