Zusatztext
This book offers a comprehensive study of one of the most influential political directors of our times, Milo Rau. It offers a critical view on the aesthetics, ethics, and politics of this multi-media artist. In his works, which span over different genres and art forms, Milo Rau is interested in the past, present and future of socio-political conflicts. He became famous with his re- and later also pre-enactments of crucial historical trials. Since then, he has constantly broadened his scope. His works span different continents, cultures, and media. His work focuses on pressing global questions such as migration, war, and climate change, as well as more individual tragedies such as suicide, abuse, and murder. Raus productions engage with current socio-political-medial constellations in investigating or examining the current state of affairs of democracies through critical dialogues.
