The act for the recognition of foreign vocational certifications is implemented by various institutions - depending on the profession and industry sector. Migrants, who wish to work in their profession in Germany, will need professional counselling and guidance for the complex recognition process. The manual offers recommendations for quality assurance in recognition counselling in the form of action tools and instruments, which were developed as part of the work done by the national sponsorship programme "Integration via Qualification" (Integration durch Qualifizierung - IQ). The quality elements are explained using the practical example of a counselling process.
