The well-known and worldwide successful novel is about the life of the fictional Jewish prince Judah Ben Hur. The character lives at the beginning of the 1st century AD and is sentenced to the galleys for an alleged assassination attempt on the Roman governor of Judea. However, he later returns to his homeland and plans an uprising against the Romans. In a chariot race he defeats his former friend and later antagonist, the Roman Messala. Will he go on with his plans or find another way?
