Naum, the three-legged wolf, lived in Brandenburg in the early 2000s, first in the wild near Eisenhüttenstadt, then later in the Schorfheide Zoo. No one knows how he lost his leg. This fairy tale finally reveals the secret: Naum lived happily with his wife Ranja and their three pups in the shed of an abandoned house at the edge of the forest, until a hunter moved in and started hunting the wolves. But when the hunter's cottage caught fire and his child seemed to be lost in the flames, it was up to Naum to risk his own life to save the child. Jens Kurreck tells the story of a three-legged wolf that is as touching as it is exciting. Lovingly illustrated by Helen Maher.

Jens Kurreck: Jens Kurreck ist Professor an der Technischen Universität Berlin. Neben wissenschaftlichen Büchern schreibt er auch Kinderbücher. Kinder, die beim Vorlesen gebannt zuhören, motivieren ihn immer wieder, neue Geschichten auszudenken und auszuschmücken. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Illustratoren entstehen hierbei schön gestaltete Bücher, die Groß und Klein gefallen. Jens Kurreck is a professor at the Technische Universität Berlin. Besides scientific texts he also writes children's books. Children, who listen spellbound to stories read out loud, motivate him again and again to think up and develop new tales to tell. By working with illustrators, he creates beautifully designed books that appeal to young and old alike.
