The Transnational publishes poetry and essays from authors from around the world.Texts which are published in the Transnational can dissolve existing boundaries or suggest new ones. They can make us question our beliefs, champion social justice and human rights, war and psychological violence, giving rise to provocative or soothing thoughts. The magazine is bilingual (English and German) .The Transnational is not commercial as well as financially and politically independent.

Sarah Katharina Kayß:* 1985 in Koblenz (Germany) has studied History, Comparative Religion and British Colonial History in Germany and the United Kingdom. Since autumn 2012 she has been a doctoral student in the War Studies Department at Kings College London, working on a military-sociological study which looks at the relevance and understanding of the national past to the motivation of British and Germany Army Officer Cadets to enlist. Her poems, photographs and essays have been published in newspapers, magazines, anthologies and literary magazines in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy, New Zealand, the USA and Canada. She was editor of the PostPoetry Magazine until 2013, and since 2014 she has been responsible for the editorship of The Transnational. Sarah has won the manuscript award of the Literaturwerk of the county of Rhineland-Palatinate and the German Writers Association (2013), and she has lived in London since 2010. Autumn 2014 saw the publication of her poetry and essay volume Ich mag die Welt, so wie sie ist in Munich.Dennis Staats:Dennis Staats wurde 1983 in Kärnten geboren. Er studierte Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität Wien. Während seines Studiums arbeitete er als freier Journalist und versuchte sich an seinem ersten literarischen Texten. Er schrieb seine Diplomarbeit über die Rezeption der Romane Jack Kerouacs im deutschen Sprachraum. Nach seinem Studium arbeitete er als PR-Manager und ist zurzeit als Projektleiter in einer internationalen Marketingagentur in Wien und Zürich tätig. Er schreibt Kurzgeschichten, Gedichte und Songtexte und ist der Mitherausgeber des Literaturmagazins The Transnational mit Sitz in London. Außerdem gründete er die Marke Doomsday Books und spielte in dem Independent Horrorfilm "German Angst". Dennis Staats lebt seit 2012 in Villach, Österreich.
