Brigitte Ungar-Klein studierte Geschichte und Germanistik und übte den Lehrberuf aus. Daneben wissenschaftliche Forschung zum Thema Zeitgeschichte und Holocaust. Sie war Direktorin des Jüdischen Instituts für Erwachsenenbildung in Wien. Mitautorin des im Picus Verlag erschienenen Buches 'Kündigungsgrund Nichtarier. Die Vertreibung jüdischer Mieter aus den Wiener Gemeindebauten in den Jahren 1938-1939' sowie Herausgeberin von 'Jüdische Gemeinden in Europa. Zwischen Kontinuität und Aufbruch'.
