Eine Liebeserklärung Das Innere Salzkammergut und das Ausseerland lassen die Redakteurin und Fotografin Patricia Thurner seit Langem nicht mehr los. Mehrmals im Jahr tankt sie dort Energie und lässt die Landschaft auf sich wirken. Ihre Fotografien der Gegenden um Bad Ischl, Lauffen, Bad Goisern, Hallstatt, Obertraun, Gosau, Bad Aussee, Altaussee, Grundlsee und Bad Mitterndorf sind eine Liebeserklärung durch die Linse ihrer Kamera. Gemeinsam mit dem Kulturhistoriker Gerhard Ammerer erkundet sie das Salzkammergut aber auch als sozialen Raum und wirft einen Blick auf die Lebenssituation der Menschen vor Ort: Welchen Einfluss hat der Landstrich auf die Menschen? Wird es manchmal vielleicht doch zu eng für die Lebensträume Einzelner? Unterschiedliche Personen, vom Hersteller der Goiserer Schuhe, Philipp Schwarz, bis zur bekannten Schriftstellerin Barbara Frischmuth kommen zu Wort und erzählen von ihren Erfahrungen in der Region, von ihrer Arbeit und dem Eingebundensein in die dortigen gesellschaftlichen Formationen.

Jahrgang 1964, Werbetexterin in Salzburg, bis 1998 Geschäftsführerin und Herausgeberin des Salzburger Wochenspiegels, seit 2014 Chefredakteurin, längerer Studienaufenthalt in der Provence. Christof Loy moves the action of Janácek's drama, revolving around the strict sacristan (the Kostelnicka) who drowns her stepdaughter Jenufa's illegitimate child for fear of gossip and concern for her future, to a bare white room in which the passage of the seasons is only hinted. It is the sacristan's stark prison cell - where he recounts past events and takes the spectator into the story seen in retrospective. Michaela Kaune sings the title role of Jenufa with warm soprano, her despair at her situation palpable at every moment, culminating finally in the discovery of her dead son. Jenufa's stepmother is sung by American mezzo-sorano Jennifer Larmore, who delights with her great vocal expressivity and beautiness.
