Autorenportrait

Jeanne Duus Johansen gained her medical degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1986 and obtained her DMSci from the same university for a thesis on allergy. She was appointed Director of The National Allergy Research Centre in Denmark in 2002 and was appointed Professor and Consultant in the Department of Dermatology, Gentofte Hospital, University of Copenhagen in 2007. Dr. Johansen has been appointed an expert by the EU commission, OECD, and WHO on working parties relating to contact allergy, prediction, and risk assessment. She is chair of the European Environmental Contact Dermatitis Research Group. Dr. Johansen is the author of more than 350 peer-reviewed scientific papers and many book chapters and the editor of several international textbooks.
