Dum palm tree generates biomass annually that are part of solid waste littered around in areas where is being consumed. The conversion of the dum palm kernel to activated carbon that can be used in removal of heavy metals from our environment is one of the route of turning waste to wealth. Provision of safe water for domestic usage, and environmental protection is a target of every responsible society.

Habu Mohammed Iyodo was born on 15th day of August 1982. I attended Race Course Primary School from 1990-1995, and Fika Government Secondary School, from 1995-2001, all in Potiskum, Nigeria. I obtained Bachelor Degree, and Master degree in Chemical Engineering, from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, 2009 and University of Maiduguri, 2016.
