Zusatztext
Peste des petits ruminants(PPR) is an acute, highly contagious and often fatal trans-boundary animal disease of sheep and goats with major economic impacts especially for pastoralists in the arid and semi-arid areas of East Africa particularly Kenya. As it is a relatively new disease in this region, this book provides information on an experimental infection model in sheep and goats. The model provides an invaluable data set of parameters to check for when determining the effectiveness of vaccines like the the thermo-stable vaccine currently under preparation. The model also details the consistency of pathology in the intestinal and lymphatic systems which can be used to diagnose the condition with great accuracy in the field
