Born and brought up in Kurukshetra, Haryana, Ritu Sharma received her Master's degree and M. Phil from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.She was conferred PhD.degree for her thesis "Family and Social Change in the Novels of Edith Wharton."Presently she is teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate classes at Dyal Singh College, Karnal (Haryana)
