With the rapid increase in demand for aesthetic restorative materials, visible light-curing units have become an integral part of modern adhesive dentistry.At present commercially available light curing units include quartz-tungsten- halogen (QTH) lights, plasma arc (PAC) lights, argon laser and light-emitting diode.The type of curing light and the curing mode have significant impact on polymerization kinetics of resin based composites. Clinicians knowledge and skill in handling light curing units plays a significant role in polymerization and final outcome of resin based restorations.
