Zusatztext
The development of oral skills, especially oral fluency, has been reported as highly positive and quick for students who engage on Study Abroad programs. But what happens with other dimensions such as rhythm? This book takes a step further by looking at the development of rhythm for a group of students who participate on a Study Abroad program and relates it to the development of fluency. Perceived fluency is also analysed in relation to listeners backgrounds, as well as the effect of learners initial fluency levels on Study Abroad outcomes in both fluency and rhythm. Finally, the book reveals how a short Study Abroad period can be highly beneficial for the development of L2 fluency and rhythm of advanced EFL learners.
