Agroforestry system plays a significant role for promoting social, economical and environmental benefits. As the human population increasing day by day the arable land area decreasing for this agroforestry is important to produce more production per unit area to the farmers. It has the ability to prevent soil erosion, conserving soil and water and it also promotes soil fertility, due to climate change whereas dense plantations of trees would also helps to absorb CO2 and regulate local temperature and reduce some pressure on forests. Soybean has a variety of benefits to farmers, industry, food processors and consumers. It has ability to increase the metabolism activities of human and also helps to increase weight in a healthy way, care for heart, defend against cancer, decrease the effects of menopause, improve digestive system, protect against birth defects, increase circulation and reduce the risk of diabetes. Inter-cropping of poplar (Populus deltoides) and soybean in agroforestry would be more beneficial to the farmers because it reduces the chances of crop failure and provides more than one output as well as more income to the farmers.

He has completed his B.Sc. in Forestry from School of Forestry and Natural Resource, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand,in 2009 and Master's in Agroforestry from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology,Pantnagar in 2015.
